One thing I love about this game is finding things. It is amazing to see what rolls. It is kind of like a gambling addiction especially with rerolling charms and crafting items. It makes you want to build other characters. Whoever created D2 was a genius.
This game is so far from enjoyable these days, the devs clearly haven’t the slightest clue what “skill-based” means, so you can’t even play a normal game. Meanwhile they recycle the same old game modes, bring in lame reboots of old maps, and give young kids gambling addictions. thanks activision..

Would you consider a 1min Bullet Chess as Gambling? Its addicting and you never know how time flies. What started as usual couple of hours Bullet lichess ended up going all day Saturday for 17 hours straight. This is my weakness as well as in poker. I just couldn't quit when I want to.
Thank you EA/Respawn for curing my gambling addiction and showing me Apex for what it really is
I've been playing since day 1 a couple hours a week. I guess you could say I'm EA's target audience - a so called WHALE - I often spend money I don't have on things I don't need, Apex being no exception. Even though I've only been playing on and off, racking up 350 hours since launch, and only managed to "grind" into Gold 2 in ranked so far, I've already spent about $400-$500 on the game. And I was planning on spending some money again when the Iron Crown event came, only because I like the game. So the event went live, I launched the game, went into the shop, and... Oh boy, what an awakening. As you might've deduced already, I am not a person who is smart with their money. I am not a person who values money as much as they should. Yet the first thing that ran through my mind upon seeing skins and banners locked inside 700 Apex Coin packs and 3,500 Apex Coin heirloom was: "WHY should I spend so much money on content that should've been in the Battlepass?" And suddenly, I, for the first time, saw Apex for what it was. A total fucking cash grab. If you've followed devs talking about Apex, you already know that the game started as a Battle Royale for Titanfall 2 and was supposed to be a test of sorts, before Respawn realized that it is actually fun to play. Now - I knew for a long time that Apex is a game built on Titanfall 2 foundations - but I never realized the true scope of it. All the weapons are from Titanfall 2. All the buildings and props are from Titanfall 2.Even the fuckingRespawn Shipis from Titanfall 2. So basically you have a game which took very little effort to make - it's more like a mod for a game that already exists - so they make it Free To Play. Cool, I'm okay with that. But Respawn, being a game developer, wants money, so - copying other microtransaction games - they add cosmetics and Apex Packs. Cool, not a big issue for me, I like the gameplay, I like to buy stuff, I like to look cool in-game and Respawn needs some revenue. Except that, looking back at it now, the cosmetics FUCKING SUCKED. Have you ever seen a game with lazier cosmetics than Apex? Just copy and paste a pattern on every Legend and every Weapon? And then have like 4 Legendaries (Read: actual skins) for each Legend/Weapon, which you couldn't even buy though, you had to save up crafting materials (FROM PACKS) or wait for it to be in the store at a 25% discount? And when they finally come with some skins which aren't completely shit, they lock them behind 700 Apex Coins packs which only give you A CHANCE to get them??? ... Base game is fun, launch cosmetics were "okay", Season 1 battlepass cosmetics were complete dogshit but I bought it anyway. Season 2 battlepass cosmetics were YET AGAINcomplete lazy ass dogshit, but I bought the battle pass anyway, because that's what I do and I wanted to support the game, hoping that the next season might be better... ...but you're out of your damn mind if you think you can just keep pumping out low-effort content, battlepass after battlepass, to milk people like me, not giving a fuck about most of your playerbase, and when you actually DO spend some time on something, you make it cost 5 times as much as it should. Your only luck is that the game is actually FUN to play. You got millions upon millions of players you didn't expect to get, and look what you have done with it... turned it into a EA sponsored case-study of the greediest possible [low effort/most revenue] model... instead of a fucking whale i'm just gonna be a little fucking dolphin from now on, playing the game for free and not giving you a cent or not playing at all, since you have already cashed in far more than you deserve for all the "content" you've created so far, and all you seem interested in is pushing the limits on that, instead of fixing code: leaf
What are some non drug related addictions (such as gambling addiction) that you believe is a serious problem? What is your own personal story of knowing someone who suffers through it?
What a joke the NSW government is. This is their reply to what they are doing for the billion dollar gambling addiction they have. They don’t have the guts actually fix the problem and save the state from this. Poker machines and gambling have destroyed NSW and Australia!
